The Crafter’s Workshop

Tools cluttered the shelves on one wall. The Opposite wall held her creations. There were little trinkets, strange and fascinating items crafted by hand. Some items glowed brightly while others would flash a bit every few minutes. They were imbued with a soft magical essence.
The creative spark had continued down her family for over 300 years. It made her want to create things, draw, write and paint. Anything that would keep her hands busy and her mind filled with ideas and possibilities.
One day a cat wandered into the workshop through an open side window. It curiously looked around. Watching glowing things and flashy things with an unimpressed eye. But something did catch this cat’s eye.
It was mouse 2.0, A mouse with an attitude. It wobbled around on it shelf before floating to the ground. The cat’s pupils dilated in both amazement and excitement. The cat pounced, but the wooden mouse had floated away!
The cat roamed around the workshop trying to tackle the mouse. Making lots of noises and bumping into many objects.
By now the crafter was done with lunch and was on her way back to the workshop.
What a mess!
The crafter saw the cat who had fallen asleep in the corner. With a sigh, Crystal waved her hand and thing began to float back into place.
There on the bottom of the mouse were inscribed runes and the crafter could activate certain ones with the runes inked on her wrists.
