The Walk

Walking across the grass and into the park calmed down her nerves. It was slightly cloudy but quite warm. This was in contrast to last week where it rained every day. Helena had managed to get out of her shed. Yet she had also completed three paintings within the few hours she’d been stuck. Today she had decided to walk her dog, Doug. There was nothing strange about her walking Doug right?

So here she was in the park with nothing to do but pick up dog poop. It gave her time to think. Was she ever going to get recognized for her paintings? Or was it time for a career change? She’d been thinking about going back to university to finish her masters. Or maybe even going to get a community service type certificate. She’d have to give it more thought.

Helena sighed and watched as Doug wandered through the park. Soon she noticed that it was getting darker. The sun was still out but suddenly it was colder!

She shivered. Maybe it was time to go back to the house?
