The air felt saturated with the salty spray of the sea. It felt refreshing against my cheeks and accompanied by the rough sands sifting through soft toes gave a sense of tranquility. The sun slowly continued its decent into the waves, casting hues when the light of the sun rays reflected off the water’s surface. It was quiet except for the waves crashing into the shore and the growing breeze. In the distance a cottage was standing on an outreaching cliff of the coastline, its windows facing the ocean and its foundation deeply rooted into the cliff’s rocky terrain. Such a lovely place to be able to call home. Somewhere comfortable and peaceful.

I'm looking for opportunities in performance writing and publishing short stories in literary magazines. I study English and Creative Writing at university. View all posts by ArianaRose
