Time for Tea

“Would you like a cup of tea?” Mary asked the Queen.
“Why sure. That would be dandy.” The Queen
“Could I have a tea?” (Sophelia)
“Sophelia. Cat’s don’t drink tea.” Mary whispered.
“Why is your cat talking? The Queen.
“Wait you can hear her too?” Mary
“I sure can Miss.” The Queen
“Wow. Your Masjesty. I feel so humbled to be in your presence.” Sophelia
“No worries darling Sophelia.” The Queen

Then Mary woke up from her dream. She wasn’t anywhere near Buckingham Palace. The Queen wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Sophelia could still talk.

“Was it a nice dream?” Sophelia asked Mary.
“You were there. The queen was there and I was too.” Mary replied, quite confused and tired.
“Sounds interesting. Were there any talking mice by any chance?” Sophelia asked.

“Not that I can recall…” Mary responded.
“Shame. That would have been purrfect..” Sophelia said, wondering towards the couch. She then had a cat nap for 9 minutes.

“I had a dream too. The fish flew. The mice I caught talked and refused to be eaten. The queen turned into a cat and you had fleas.” Sophelia began once she’d woken from her cat nap.

I’m hoping to become a writer, playwright & novelist. I'm also considering becoming a Historian or librarian at this stage in life. I'm looking for opportunities in performance writing and publishing short stories in literary magazines. I study English and Creative Writing at university.
