Why is the world screwed?

When we hear the news, we’re confronted with war, death, diseases and poor lifestyle choices. We might look outside and wonder, “what can I possibly do to change this”? Each of us are capable of changing this though.

The world is screwed because individuals feel useless and want to escape this harsh realty. No one knows how to positively change the world.

The world is screwed because the government has been left to grow corrupt, to influence society’s values and desensitized to people’s suffering.

Why do we value money so much? Why are western civilizations still run by capitalism and big corporations? How can we change the inequality of men and women, the in-equal distribution of wealth?

Because the people who actually care feel like they can’t do anything to change how things are run. They’ve grown up to this, they’ve accepted it as truth. It’s what they know, why should they be the only one to do something about it?

You are not alone in your goal to change society. It’s way past the point of denying that we’re screwed. Our way of living is no longer a viable option. Every individual has the capacity to improve the world. Be it using your profession to improve the lives of others, starting service projects and getting people involved, helping people’s health and lifestyle or even educating your children and nurturing their unique talents and giving them love. A better world for your children.

What happened to those important values of family, health, education, human welfare, respect, integrity, honesty and compassion?

How come our lives have been reduced to a repetitive routine, a cycle of problems and financial pressures?

It’s time to think about what we can do. Even if it’s small things, they all make a difference in some way. We can work together to create a positive change, help those in need and return focus onto the important values society has forgotten about.

  1. Each of us can be that tiny pebble ….. and when we jump into the pond of life, we create a ripple – a tiny little ripple that touches other people and can change them, and they go about their business forever changed and they touch others ….. and they touch others ….. and they touch others ……

And all it takes for the process to start is one person daring to change and try something different ….. one person who knows that it isn’t easy and it doesn’t happen quickly ….. but is willing to try anyway. One person who doesn’t give up and give in.
